For Davao City’s next source of water. Various initiatives are currently being done to protect and conserve the Panigan-Tamugan Watershed where Davao City’s water will be sourced through the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project (DCBWSP). One initiative led by the project’s engineering, procurement, and construction contractor, J.V. Angeles Construction Corporation (JVACC) is the Tamugan River Clean-Up Drive participated by 59 volunteers from JVACC, Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc. and the barangay. Cans, bottles, cellophanes, clothes, and plastic wrappers were collected during the activity held in Brgy. Tawantawan during the World Water Day last March 22. Apo Agua and its project partners, JVACC and the Davao City Water District, as well as the City Government of Davao and the Watershed Management Council, are committed to protect and conserve the city’s next source of drinking water. The DCBWSP’s start of operations is targeted on the first half of 2021.
