Ensures Safe Drinking Water Supply
The Apo Agua Laboratory is now an accredited laboratory by the Department of Health (DOH) for Drinking Water Analysis.
To ensure that Apo Agua delivers safe, reliable, and potable bulk water supply to the Davao City Water District (DCWD), the Apo Agua Laboratory conducts regular microbiological, physical and chemical testing of its water. Apart from being recognized by DOH for its capability to test beyond the ten (10) mandatory parameters, its laboratory is allowed to conduct other water tests parameters set by the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water (PNSDW). Additional tests such as heavy metals analysis and other physical and chemical tests for acceptability aspects are also performed in the in-house laboratory to verify the quality of the treated water.
Operated by highly skilled laboratory personnel, Apo Agua Laboratory uses cutting-edge technologies for water quality analysis. Its state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and equipment strengthens Apo Agua’s vision of developing smart, innovative, and future-ready infrastructure.
“The accreditation of our in-house laboratory is a realization of our vision of developing innovative solutions that provide people access to life basic necessities and supports the growth and development of Davao City,” Apo Agua President Anna Lu said.
Additionally, Apo Agua also received a Certificate of Potability issued by the Davao City Health Office. This assures local stakeholders that the water that will be produced from Apo Agua’s Water Treatment Plant will conform to the local and national standards and regulations of water quality for drinking and environmental purposes.
“We are proud of having received this accreditation. This project milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to deliver sustainable water across generations to the Davaoenos in partnership with the DCWD. With this, we are also able to provide laboratory services to interested parties,” Lu added.
